Great news for Ryde

A well-known and well respected insulation contractor has now opened a new depot in Ryde.

J & J Crump and Son are a well-established family company who specialise in installing insulation measures to homes throughout the UK. These measures include cavity wall and loft insulation, external wall insulation and replacement boilers and heating systems.

With support from the Council, The Footprint Trust and various utilities the company are now providing insulation measures to Isle of Wight residents as part of the Warm Up Wight project.

The company have now recruited Tracey Yeates as the depot manager. Tracey is a local resident and is well known on the Island and has many years experience of the industry. Tracey said “ I am really excited to have the opportunity to look after the Ryde depot and to be able to offer products that can help to improve the lifestyle of Isle of Wight residents”

In addition  a local recruitment programme has now started with a view to initially providing full time employment to a further 10 local residents. The company will also be looking at opportunities to offer various apprenticeships in the future.

Steve Crump the company MD said “ We are pleased to open this depot. We are a family company, and, having traded for many years, have gained reputation for providing a quality service which will be a vital component of the Isle of Wight operation. We look forward to working within the communities of the Island.”

    I have recently had my insulation installed and the craziest part about this is it was indeed free….. We had a lovely surveyor called Chris come round and explain everything…. At first I was a little bit dubious but there was no talk of money at any stage. Thank you.
